Rummy-O 1st Anniversary

The Cameron Seniors Rummy-O Group recently celebrated its first anniversary with a cake party. When the group started on September 18, 2017, the co-founders Margriet Dogterom and Eva Derton didn't know if anyone would show up. It turned out that the group started with 7 charter members and has since grown to 27 current members. Great reason to celebrate!

Iranian Canadian Association of Burnaby 11th Anniversary

On September 15 2018, Cameron’s Iranian Canadian Seniors Association celebrated its 11th anniversary. A delicious Persian banquet, poetry, music and dancing were enjoyed by over 100 guests. The hard-working volunteers who planned and hosted the party are pictured here. We wish all the best to the Iranian Canadian Seniors at Cameron Centre.

Metro Vancouver Multicultural Seniors Dance Festival

On Thursday, June 14, Cameron Seniors’ Chinese Singers, Dancers, and Tai Chi practitioners performed at the Metro Vancouver Multicultural Seniors Dancing Festival, at James Cowan Theatre in Burnaby. They sang songs, did a modeling demonstration, and demonstrated fan and sword tai chi. Thank you to this dedicated group, for representing Cameron Seniors at the Festival!

Snooker Tournament Prizes Presentation

President Lorraine Seath and Board Member Joan McLean awarded prizes to the winner, Rick Adams and runner-up, Nick Nuraney, of the recently completed Snooker Tournament.

Kudos to all of the players who participated and special thanks to Snooker Club Leader Nick Nuraney for organizing the tournament. Thanks to the Cameron Seniors Society for providing the prizes.
