Alzheimer Society of BC - Dementia Resources, Education and Events in November

As part of our work to create a more dementia-friendly B.C., we are having an awareness campaign. The "Don’t change. Even if they do." campaign is inviting the public to reflect on ways they’ll continue to stay connected to people affected by dementia, 60 per cent of whom live in the community. Learn more and make your pledge at www.dontchange.ca.

Meanwhile, as we all find ways to adapt to the new normal, this remains an incredibly difficult time for caregivers of people living with dementia, including many who are supporting people living in long-term care and are unable to stay connected as they have in the past.

Read on to learn about the resources we have for families of people living in long-term care, as well as about the online webinars and tele-support groups taking place in the Fraser Region this month. Finally, learn more about the Telethon for Alzheimer’s, a Cantonese-language variety program to be broadcast nationally on Fairchild Television.
